Apex Mentors was founded in 2012 by Dr. Rajan Iyer, an IIT Bombay graduate and former professor, who noticed a troubling gap: students in Mumbai's best schools were falling behind not due to lack of intelligence — but lack of individual attention in overcrowded coaching classes.
He opened a small 3-room centre on Pali Hill Road with 12 students and 3 faculty members. The philosophy was radical for its time: no batch larger than 8 students.
Twelve years and 1,400+ students later, Apex Mentors has become one of Bandra's most sought-after coaching institutes — not because of aggressive marketing, but because of results that speak for themselves.
